Favorite Things: Toy Paintings are a portrait of the client through the things that they deeply loved as a child. The originals are not for sale but prints may be purchased.
A Favorite Things painting can be commissioned (minimum cost $5,000) at up to 16 x 20 in. Because of the length of time each painting requires I only accept two commissions a year. I don’t work from photographs so it requires me to take possession of your treasured items for as long as six months. Contact me if you are interested.

Jesse's Treasures: Franklin, the prototype doll I designed as a mascot for Franklin County's Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (Jesse was the model for the doll), Toasty, the first toy he loved, the snowman sock doll he made in kindergarten, his football doll, his blanket, and the books he loved.
Morgan's Treasures: Osprey, their most favorite toy, Skippy John from their favorite book, the siamese cat their siamese cat destroyed, a pocket bunny, and the Wednesday doll their grandmother made when their grandmother was eight.
For Jill: Barbie and Cabbage Patch dolls defined the years of her childhood; Osprey and Chocolate Pudding are her children's toys, and books from Jesse's childhood.
For Hannah: The doll she played with, paper covered lights she made, her dad's bear, and the snow globe her great aunt gave her.
For Ian: All his favorite toys with his dad's bear.
Eric's Treasures: Toasty, his dad's toy dog, Chocolate Pudding his favorite toy, a collection of his favorite cars, the mouse he carried with him and the books he loved.
Justin's Treasures: The books he loved and the cars he treasured.
For Shelby: Her grandfather's bear and her grandmother's doll. (This first toy painting in the favorite things series.)
For Eric: The first toy truck his grandfather gave him when he was born, and his grandmother's elephant and bear.
